"Before Tim arrived in Hertfordshire, there was little recognition of the incredible, unpaid - and often unacknowledged role played by family members and friends as carers. Taking on this responsibility can have a profound impact on an individual’s health, wellbeing, relationships, quality of life and finances.
Tim’s groundbreaking work in this field, as well as in many others - including advocacy, older people’s services, community wellbeing and, more recently, social prescribing - across Integrated Care Board, Hertfordshire County Council and the NHS, has undoubtedly impacted the lives of thousands of local people.
From the outset, he has been a passionate advocate for the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise sector. The large turnout of VCFSE sector representatives from across Hertfordshire at his leaving party, is a true testament to the remarkable effect he has had on all of us.
We shall truly miss his voice, guidance, and wisdom. Thank you, Tim - you’ve served us all with dedication and heart. And we will miss you. Wishing you a long and happy retirement!"
