Living Well Course: How lifestyle medicine can support healthier communities
This free in-person training day is designed for local groups who want practical tools to help their teams and communities thrive.
Through a mix of learning, discussion and hands-on workshops, you’ll explore the evidence behind lifestyle medicine and how simple, everyday changes can improve long-term health outcomes. The day also introduces the core pillars - sleep, movement, nutrition, connection, stress management and purpose - and shows how they can be built into community programmes.
Date: Wednesday 7th October
Venue: Focolare Centre for Unity, Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire
Time: 9am to 4:30pm
Attendees: Anyone in a leadership role at a charity, community or faith group in Hertfordshire interested in the power of lifestyle medicine
You’ll leave with practical ideas for designing and delivering your own courses, ready-to-use resources, and insight into recruitment, running sessions and collecting meaningful data. There will also be opportunities to connect with other leaders, share experiences and build supportive networks.
Set in a welcoming environment with great food, informal discussion and a lunchtime walk, it’s a chance to step back, learn something new and feel inspired about what’s possible in your community.
