Meet the team
Community Transport Scheme Manager
Jon joined North Herts CVS as Community Transport Manager in June 2015. He previously served for six and half years as a Volunteer Manager for a successful overseas mission charity. Jon is also an actor and director and member of two local theatre companies. We love going to watch him in action!
Community Transport Coordinator
Nora joined us in 2015, shortly before our North Herts and Stevenage Community transport schemes merged with the Lister car scheme. Having previously been a volunteer driver for the Lister scheme, Nora primarily looks after trips and drivers in the Stevenage area.
Membership Support Officer
Anne has been working at NHCVS for almost 14 years and has spent the last 25 years working in and with voluntary groups, much of it in fundraising. As our Membership Support Officer, she can help new community groups set up and help more established groups to meet challenges as they grow. This includes reviewing governing documents, developing management committees, funding advice, volunteer recruitment and much more.
#TeamHerts Volunteering Project Manager
Jo is the newest member of the NHCVS team, joining us amidst the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown (tough for anyone let alone starting a new job!). Jo has a Masters in Business Management and is looking forward to developing and supporting volunteering in Hertfordshire after a 17 year career in education and having extensively volunteered herself.
#TeamHerts Marketing and Volunteering Officer
Jack joined the #TeamHerts Volunteering team as a fresh graduate from the university of Chester having gained experience within the charity sector through his university placements. He is a social media whizz, always full of great new ideas for recruiting volunteers and enjoys delivering our network and training sessions.

Vicky joined the team in January 2019 as the Reach Out Project Manager.
Prior to this role, Vicky has worked in the voluntary and charitable sector for 15 years - in welfare rights and homelessness services in South West London and more recently in Hertfordshire, delivering health and wellbeing projects to vulnerable individuals and families in housing crisis. In the past she has volunteered as a trainer in Mental Health First Aid, in an animal shelter abroad and in a temporary winter night shelter.
Reach Out Support Coordinator
Amanda joined us in in December 2019 and supports Vicky with our Reach Out project. Amanda is responsible for recruiting and training our fantastic volunteers and matching them with clients. Prior to joining NHCVS, Amanda was a nurse at Garden House Hospice for many years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Sam originally joined us on a Maternity Leave contract to manage our Breakaway Playschemes in 2019 but has since been appointed long-term after the previous Manager decided to return to a teaching career. Sam has an amazing rapport with our Breakaway staff team and together they always deliver fun and engaging respite care for children and young people aged 5-19 living in Hertfordshire.
