At North Herts CVS, we understand the unique challenges faced by voluntary and community groups like yours.  The team at North Herts CVS has many years of experience working with the voluntary sector.   We also work closely with other CVS groups in the Hertfordshire area.  This means that we have access to a wide range of local information and resources – all of which can be at your disposal.

As a Member of North Herts CVS your group can benefit from our experience with help and expertise on a whole range of topics.  Over the years, we’ve helped many community and voluntary groups on an extensive variety of different subjects, so whatever challenges your group might currently be facing, the likelihood is that we can help.

For an annual membership fee of just £7.50 your group could benefit from:-

• Information – we can help keep you up to date on a whole host of issues affecting voluntary and community groups.  Our Members receive regular e-bulletins on all the latest news.  We work with other CVS Groups in Hertfordshire and so have access to a wide range of information. 
•  1-2-1 help and advice for small and evolving new groups.  This can be anything from help with searching or applying for funding or setting up a new group constitution or forming a management committee to all the latest information on Vetting and Barring.
• Volunteers – with many years experience of working with volunteers, let us help you and your group find the right volunteers, and learn how to manage them to get the best for your organisation. 
• Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) application checks for your staff and volunteers, plus all the latest updates on ISA Vetting and Barring legislation and how they affect your voluntary or community group.
• Training and events –NHCVS Members can enjoy discounts on local training workshops for a wide range of subjects to develop personal and professional skills. 
• Networking opportunities with other like-minded voluntary groups in the North Herts area at events such as our ever popular Community Lunch and AGM.
• Consultation:  You and your group are more important than you think!  We strive to ensure that the voluntary and community group voice is heard at both local and national consultation processes.
• Office Services – NHCVS Members have access to our meeting room facilities and office equipment hire such.  We can even help you find temporary desk space or help you with your IT.
