Timebank
Building communities by sharing skills
The Time Bank is an exciting new way to become more engaged with your community, make a difference to other people’s lives, use your skills and get help with those tasks you have been putting off!
Everyone has skills that they can offer, from sharing their musical talent, helping with gardening, helping to organise a community event, or spending an hour with someone that may have otherwise spent the day alone. Every hour that you give earns you one ‘Time Credit’, and you can spend your Time Credits by asking someone to help you out for an hour.
There are currently three Time Bank’s running in this area; Purwell, the Grange Estate, and in Royston. Anyone is welcome to join, regardless of age, sex or disabilities. We also welcome organisational members, who are based in or work regularly in one of the Time Bank areas.
We are always taking members and the Time Bank is free of charge to join.
